Method: cost = fees + exchange margin × amount; rate = reference rate × (1 − margin); received = (amount − fees) × rate. Between two measured amounts, the fees and the margin are interpolated and the line says so; beyond the largest measured amount, the last line is used. Public prices measured by Tounesna, welcome offers excluded.

2025-Q3 survey, about 13 months ago. The World Bank publishes this survey every quarter: the prices below may have changed since the survey ran from 2025-08-08 to 2025-08-28. Check the price with the operator before you send.
The table ranks only services open to any adult resident of France, without a prior account at the operator or at a partner bank. Services reserved for a bank's own customers are described further down, never ranked.
For the same transfer of 200 EUR, the total cost runs from 2.49% (MoneyGram) to 9.81% (Western Union). The total cost adds the stated fees and the margin taken on the exchange rate — it is the second that opens the gap, and it is the one you do not see at the counter.

A negative exchange margin means a rate more favourable than the survey's reference rate. The ranking is computed on the measured total cost, and on nothing else.
Column “As of 7 September 2026”: public prices copied as displayed on the operators' sites, total cost computed against the reference rate of 3.3792 TND to €1 (2026-09-07 00:02 UTC); the uncertainty on the margins is about 0.1 point. A welcome offer is shown in grey and enters no comparison.

Frequently asked questions
Which operator costs least to send money to Tunisia from France?
According to the World Bank's 2025-Q3 survey, for €200, the open offer with the lowest total cost is MoneyGram (2.49%). The simulator above recomputes that ranking for your amount from the prices measured on 7 September 2026; the result depends on the amount, the channel and the way it is collected.
Why compare total cost rather than fees?
The stated fees are only part of the cost: the operator also takes a margin on the exchange rate, invisible at the counter. The total cost adds the two, as the World Bank does — it is the only measure that lets you compare a “fee-free” offer with a fixed-fee one.
Does the channel change the price at Western Union?
The channel changes everything at Western Union: on the same day, for €200, €3.99 of fees and 3.3782 TND to €1 online, against €3.50 and 3.1543 TND in branch — 6.4 points of total cost apart.
What documents are needed to send and to collect?
Proof of identity when sending, and on collection proof of identity with the transfer number (cash) or the bank details (account). The 7 operator sheets set out the documents, the ceilings and the paying-out partners in Tunisia, read on the official pages.
And if I am already a bank customer?
